Also Amazon doesn't take in account when you uninstall its app, so you have to manually de-register devices on its website. This requires wiping the memory and changing the settings in Security when you reboot.

The reason why you have to go through all these steps is because, Chrome OS for security purposes only allows sideloading apps when OS verification is turned off. For me this is fine since its a personal computer, but for others in a school system, this may be a problem.
I'll have to continue having OS verification turned off until this bug is fixed. If I buy any new books, I will have to uninstall Amazon Kindle and repeat steps 5-9 over again.
With everything done correctly, I still have my books downloaded in the updated app, but now instead of being broken, they should work. (This step is optional, and if you do it, you'll have to repeat steps 5-9 again to download new books) Once all my books were downloaded, I went to the Google Play App Store and updated the Kindle App to the current version. I downloaded each and every one of my books (Click on them and you should see a loading bar below the cover). I went to an APK download site and download an old version of Amazon Kindle. Go to Chrome Settings > App Settings > Security, then enable Unknown sources by moving the slider to the right. Turned off OS verification for Chrome OS. (Your computer is about to be clean wiped) You could use Google Drive as well if you prefer. Backed up all my data to a micro SD card. Uninstalled Amazon Kindle from my device (Samsung Chromebook Pro) (two finger click in app drawer). I've developed an interim solution until the bug gets fixed. Some people (Samsung Chromebook Plus/Pro and Pixelbook users mostly) have been having bugs using the Amazon Kindle App where the text doesn't appear or turns into corrupted garbage when you scroll/swipe from one page to the next.
